corruption and politics.. bread and butter for the newspaper

It was one of those wonderful so called leisurely Sunday mornings and like a good and vigilant citizen I opened up The Newspaper to read where my country was heading to. Since it was last week of December maximum pages of the Sunday supplement were devoted to the movers and shakers of "2010". Trust me within few moments i was pissed off..because the winners were Nira Radia, Suresh Kalmadi, Lalit Modi and company. Where were the players of Commonwealth games? Or the scientists of ISRO who promised a voyage to moon?
or the millions of citizens who were victims of various natural calamities the last year? I don't blame the media or the press, they bring out the evils in light. But corruption or the politicians with their weird policies has become a routine or a monotony for us. A time may come when you will think is the newspaper worth reading since one way or the other some politician is exploiting you and your money..
